After Screening Cinema (originally Caitlin on Digital) was founded in 2022. We provide coverage of popular content, mainly focussed on new movies, television shows, and older favourites, as well as festival coverage of newly and soon-to-be-released films. We strive to contribute to relevant discussions on film and television, providing reviews of new films, features discussing the intersectionality of media and social issues, and festival coverage of exciting films to come.

About Us

Caitlin Abe Gokool (Editor-In-Chief / Writer)

Born in Toronto, Canada and currently living in Australia, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto in the spring of 2023, with a double major in computer science and English literature/film. I created this website to combine my understanding of technology with my passion for film, to create a place where I could discuss all I love about the films I watch. In this space, I hope to contribute to conversations on films that I have watched and love, sharing my opinion in the form of features as well as reviews of new release films.

I have received press and media accreditation for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film & TV Festival, and the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), and have provided individual coverage of select films at the Venice International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and the Inside Out Queer Film Festival in Toronto.
